I have been a Registered Nurse for the last 10 years working in a private surgical hospital and have enjoyed my time in practice, however, I have always had a love and passion for pregnancy and birth.
I think the human body is incredible for growing another human, as well as an organ that nourishes the baby for 10 months, and I would be honored to support families as a Doula during this transition into parenthood.
After two positive birth experiences with our sons, I would really like to provide education and support to birthing people and their partners so they walk away from their birth feeling positive, empowered and supported throughout their experience.
I also believe more care and consideration needs to go into the fourth trimester for the mother, so she can rest, recover and bond with her baby, and my role as a Doula in this is to ‘mother the mother.’
