Congratulations on your pregnancy and for making the decision to make this journey into parenthood positive and empowering!

We are Shelby and Charlotte and we are Birth Your Way Doulas. We provide women-focused and compassionate care for families in Sydney and the Central Coast.

Shelby

Shelby was born and raised in the Hills District of Sydney, NSW. She is a partner, mother to one little girl (her hypnobub), and lover of dogs! She is a Registered Nurse, aspiring Child and Family Health Nurse, qualified Birth and Postpartum Doula, and Certified Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner.

Throughout her nursing career, Shelby developed a strong interest in the mind-body connection and a holistic approach to healthcare, particularly in the birth space.When she was 18 weeks pregnant, Shelby made the decision to invest in a doula and a comprehensive antenatal education program.

"It was the best money I have ever spent. Heading into my birth, I felt well-educated, confident, and supported. While my birth didn't ‘go to plan’ (birth rarely does), my partner and I were able to emerge from our birth feeling physically well and emotionally safe," she says

Charlotte is based on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW. She is a mother to one beautiful girl and has a background in health and primary teaching. She is driven by her mission to implement high-quality, continuity of care for mothers and their birth partners. This starts with building a deep understanding of the birthing body and mind, through knowledge and education.She provides her services on The Central Coast and Newcastle, NSW.

She supports all types of births, including hospital, home birth, natural physiological, water birth, VBAC, induction of labour, caesarean, and pain relief-free. When you work with her, her desire is to leave you feeling energized and having created a beautiful, safe space for your baby to enter the world into.

Our Mission

We believe every birthing mother and partner deserve access to comprehensive antenatal education and continuity of care. We are driven by our mission to support as many parents as possible in achieving more positive birth outcomes with an emphasis on compassionate and holistic care.

Our Services

Through evidence-based tools and techniques, we will help you to recondition your beliefs to have a more positive mindset surrounding birth. We specialize in helping birth partners feel well-equipped and confident in their role as your primary support person.

As your doulas, it is our role to hold space for you, empower you, and guide you. We provide continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and support all kinds of births, from homebirth, to hospital birth (Public and Private), Birth Centre, Caesarean section, VBAC, and Induction.

Our Goal

Our goal is for you to birth your way, on your terms, and feel empowered by your decision about how your baby is brought into the world. Our packages can be altered to suit any unique situation so that you receive the care that aligns with your specific needs.
